Narcan Training: Harm Reduction Office Hours

Did you know that... Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse the effects of opioid overdose? New York State law allows anyone who has received training at a pharmacy or community program to carry and use naloxone? The New York State Good Samaritan Law protects you when you call 911 if you are overdosing or witness someone overdosing? People who use drugs have long faced barriers to receiving the medical and social supports they need because of the stigma and criminalization of drug use. However, Paerdegat now offers free Narcan kits and training! Please inquire at the information desk on Saturdays from 2-4PM to receive a brief safety training and the harm reduction supplies you'll need to reverse an overdose. *Training received by library staff is not eligible for certification*
